Weather News : Severe Cold in North India, Shivering Due To Fog and Cold Wave, IMD Alert

Weather News : There is severe cold in the states of North India including the national capital Delhi-NCR. Looking at the harsh winter, it seems that the plains are now suffering more than the hilly areas. In many states of North India, people are facing a lot of trouble due to cold and fog. According to the Meteorological Department, this torture of cold is going to continue in the coming days as well. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and North Rajasthan are expected to continue cold wave and fog for the next three to four days. Cold wave conditions prevail in Sikar, Rajasthan. During this, the temperature in the city is running in minus.

Weather News : Cold Wave in These States

Dense to very dense fog very likely over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and many parts of West Uttar Pradesh and isolated parts of North Rajasthan during next 24 hours due to prevailing light air and high humidity in lower tropospheric levels, according to the Met department likely to continue. Even on the occasion of New Year, there will be severe cold in North India and there will be dense fog. On the other hand, chill has increased in Bihar due to blowing of westerly winds. The winter is showing its attitude in UP-MP.

Weather News : Minus Temperature in Sikar

The bitter cold is continuing in Rajasthan as well. Churu recorded a minimum temperature of 0.5 degree Celsius last night. On the other hand, Narnaul remained the coldest place in Haryana where according to the meteorological center, the mercury was recorded at one degree Celsius, four notches below normal. In Punjab’s Bathinda, the temperature was 1.4 degrees Celsius, while it was five degrees in Amritsar and 6.6 degrees Celsius in Ludhiana.

Light Snowfall in Jammu and Himachal

According to the weather information website Skymet Weather. Rains are likely to stop in most parts of South India as well as Northeast India. There may be light snowfall in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. Kashmir is also in the grip of cold wave and the temperature in the entire valley has dropped by several degrees Celsius. With the mercury falling further below zero.
