Gujarat Election 2022 : Second Phase Voting for 93 seats Going on, High Profile list of Voters Included
Gujarat Election 2022 : Voting is going on today for the second and final phase of Gujarat assembly elections. A total of 833 candidates from 61 political parties are in the fray in this phase for 93 seats. In these, there is a contest between BJP, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). According to the state election body, the candidates also include 285 independents. There are a total of 182 seats in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. Voting for 89 seats in Saurashtra, Kutch and South Gujarat regions was held in the first phase on December 1. The average polling in the first phase was recorded at 63.31 per cent.

Gujarat Election 2022 : High Profile list of Voters
The second phase of voting in Gujarat will also see a high-profile list of voters. It includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Aam Aadmi Party’s Chief Ministerial candidate Isudan Gadhvi, Gujarat Congress President Jagdish Thakor. Indian cricket team members Irfan Pathan, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya are also on the list. PM Modi has reached Gujarat only yesterday. He reached Gandhinagar and took his mother’s blessings.
2.51 Crore Voters for 833 Candidates
In the second phase of Gujarat elections, 833 candidate from 61 parties are in the fray, whose fate will be decide by more 2.51 crore voters. Today 2,51,58,730 voters will cast their vote, out of which 1,29,26,501 are male, 1,22,31,335 are female and 894 are third gender. The Election Commission set up 26,409 polling stations and around 36,000 Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will use in the voting. Over 84,000 polling officers have deploy in 14 districts.

Triangular Gujarat Election 2022
There has been a direct contest between BJP and Congress in Gujarat till 2017, but the way the Aam Aadmi Party has formed the government after winning in Punjab and is claiming victory in many seats in Gujarat as well. In such a situation, now the Gujarat assembly elections have become triangular and very interesting.
