While giving information on Friday, January 20, Google’s parent company Alphabet said that about 12,000 people will be fired. This layoff will be done globally by Alphabet.

Google Layoffs : Sundar Pichai Statement

The company’s CEO Sundar Pichai gave this information to the workers through an email. In his email, Pichai wrote, “Over the past two years we have seen tremendous growth in the economy. To keep pace with that growth, we have hired many people. But the reality of today’s economy is very different. and functions and have sought to ensure that the people and roles offered to our Company are in line with our highest priority as a company. Many Companies Taking This Step

Recently, some other US-based global tech companies have also taken this step of firing their workers on a large scale. In the same month, Amazon has fired 18,000 people and Microsoft has fired 10,000 people.
