Chhattisgarh’s First Cow Dung Power Generation Plant will Set Up in Jagdalpur
Biogas Plant : Chhattisgarh’s first biogas plant is being prepare for electricity in Bastar. Through the plant, 10 kilowatt electricity can produce everyday. Along with 50 houses, the corporation’s SLRM center will also illuminate with biogas. The cost of the biogas plant to set up at Dongaghat in Jagdalpur is Rs 35 lakh. A private company has entrust with the responsibility of setting up a plant to generate electricity from cow dung.

The work of the biogas plant will be completed in the second week of February. It is tell that the Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority is getting the plant construct.
Biogas Plant : Electricity from Cow Dung
Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dinesh Nag tell that for the first time in Chhattisgarh. A plant is being built to generate electricity from cow dung. He tell that a year ago an MoU was sign between the state government and the Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC). After the agreement, the project was start in the entire state. A delegation of experts had gone to Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) to know the technology of making electricity from cow dung.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will inspect the state’s biogas plant on January 26. Efforts are make to start the power generation work from the plant in the second week of February.
Methane Gas will Filter and Separate
Corporation employees tell that a slurry of cow dung and water will prepare in the inlet chamber made of cement in the SLRM center. Every day 500 kg cow dung and 100 liters of water will add. The slurry will pour into an iron cover and 15 feet deep biogas plant. The requirement of methane gas to generate electricity will meet from cow dung.

The gas produce by rotting cow dung will store in the biogas balloon through the pipe. 3 scrubbers are being install for that. After filtering and separating the methane gas, electricity will generate with the help of a generator. 600 kg cow dung will use to start the system on the first day.
