According to the information received from the Health Department, on Wednesday January 4. Four cases of sub-variant BF.7 of corona virus variant Omicron have find in West Bengal. The report said that genome sequencing of four people who recently return from the US confirm that they were infect with the new variant BF.7 (Omicron Sub Variant BF.7) of the corona virus.
Health Department Statement
The health department said that the condition of the four patients is stable. Of these four people, three are from Nadia district, while one person hails from Bihar but currently lives in Kolkata. After the confirmation of the new variant of Corona in these four, their condition is being specially monitor.
