Coronavirus in China : The most dangerous wave of Corona has come in China so far. Infection is increasing rapidly. Deaths have also started increasing. New Variant of Coronavirus in China
But what is the reason for the spurt in infection? The reason for this is the sub-variants of Omicron – BA.5.2 and BF.7. Both these sub-variants are more contagious than the rest of the corona variants. Health officials say that after getting infected with the new sub-variants, symptoms like severe throat infection, body ache and mild or high fever are coming out.
Meanwhile, information has also come to the fore that these new sub-variants of Omicron attack the upper respiratory tract. Most of the patients are showing symptoms like pneumonia.
What’s Happening in New Wave
Wang Guoqiang, advisor to China’s National Health Commission, told that new cases are increasing due to Omicron. However, this is not very serious.
He told that in December 2019, when the corona virus came to Wuhan, most of the deaths were due to respiratory failure. But now the new variant attacks the upper respiratory tract, which can cause pneumonia in patients and respiratory failure in some people.
Wang claimed that it has observe during treatment that the biggest cause of death from Omicron has some chronic disease. That is, most of the patients who die were those who were already suffering from some serious illness. He claimed that the scope of respiratory failure due to corona is very less.

If a person has corona and dies, then he will count in Covid death only. This happens in most countries of the world. Even if the patient is already suffering from some serious illness.

But China has made its own math regarding Covid death. The National Health Commission has issue a guideline, in which it has told that who will consider as covid death and who will not? According to the new guidelines, if a patient die of a heart attack after getting infect, it will not consider a Covid death. China has called it a ‘scientific’ method.
Wang Guoqiang said that if a patient dies of pneumonia or respiratory failure after getting infect. It will count as a Covid death. But if a patient die of heart or brain relate disease after getting infect, then it will not consider as Covid death.
