Cirkus Movie Review : Know How Is Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh’s Multistarrer Film

Cirkus Movie Review : Rohit Shetty has brought the multistarrer film ‘Cirkus’ for his audience on this occasion of Christmas. How much Rohit, the ring master aka director of this Cirkus has able to entertain the fans through this film, let’s read in this review.

Cirkus Movie Review : Story

The film is made on the backdrop of 1952. Two different families come to adopt four twin children from Jamnadas Orphanage in Bangalore. Meanwhile, the caretaker and the doctor (Murli Sharma) of the orphanage exchange these four children to prove their social experiment correct.

Rohit Shetty’s Direction

Rohit Shetty’s films have a different mood. But regretfully, after watching the circus, she is very disappointed with Rohit’s direction. Rohit’s Cirkus appears to be his the weakest film on the screen. Due to the weak screenplay, the story is scattered till the last scene. The first half feels full of lackluster comedy and confusion. The story is so weak that it is difficult to keep the audience hooked till the first half. Sanjay Mishra, Siddharth Jadhav’s beautiful acting with some punch lines of comedy in the second half gives some relief, but it seems difficult for the already disconnected audience to enjoy it. Retro songs used in the film, Golmaal twist will make you feel good. Rohit has wasted all the star cast. When such seasoned actors come together on the screen, a bang is expect, but even a spark doesn’t come here. Secondly, the film does not match its title at all. The name of the Cirkus sounds like a joke. Neither Rohit could show a proper Cirkus nor a good film.

Cirkus Movie Review : Technical and Music

The weakest link of the film has been its writing. The writing of Farhad Samji, Vidhi Dhodgaonkar and Sanchit Bendri seems below average. Neither any emotion in the film is accurate nor any punch of comedy, so connecting with the story of the audience remains a mere question. Plus the logic is major missing in the story. Confusion regarding scenes and frames is clearly visible in Bunty Nagi’s editing. Talking about Jomon T John’s cinematography. The film convinces in every way that the grand sets behind are fake. If you look at the screen, the backdrop of Bangalore, Ooty and 1965 cannot be stabilized from anywhere. The film is very loud on the color palette. Music albums are also not that special to sit in your mind. You just remember Deepika’s item song Current Laga. Amar Mohile’s background score is average.

Everyone’s Acting

Coming of Ranveer Singh in a double role in the film was a new experiment for the fans as well as for Ranveer. Ranveer’s acting is so weak that you cannot notice him. On the other hand, Varun Sharma has also not been able to do anything special by being in a double role. There was not much scope in the characters of Jacqueline Fernandes and Pooja Hegde. Sanjay Mishra, the real hero of the film, dominated from the first half till the climax. Along with this, the comic timing of Siddharth Jadhav has given some relief to the film. Whereas brilliant artists like Johnny Liver, Murli Sharma, Sulbha Arya, Tiku Talsania, Mukesh Tiwari, Brajesh Hirji were reduce to just a frame due to non-availability of proper space.
