Team India and Pakistan are in Same Group in Asia Cup 2023, BCCI announces Calendar

Asia Cup 2023 : Big news has come out regarding Asia Cup 2023. This tournament is to be organized in Pakistan. India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group for the Asia Cup 2023. Indian Cricket Board President Jai Shah has shared the cricket calendar for the year 2023-24 on Thursday. The schedule of matches has give in it. This time the Asia Cup will play in ODI format and it will be organize in September.

Pakistan will Host Asia Cup 2023

Actually this time Pakistan has the right to host the Asia Cup. But BCCI President Jai Shah has already made it clear that Team India will not go to Pakistan for the tournament. There were reports that the tournament could organize at a neutral venue. But so far no official information has reveal regarding this.

Former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja had threatened a boycott of the 50-over World Cup in response to BCCI’s stance, but with Najam Sethi taking over as the new chief, things might change.

Team India and Pakistan in Same Group

It can see in the cricket calendar that this time the ODI Asia Cup will hold in September. In one of its groups, there will a team of Qualifier 1 along with India, Pakistan. Whereas Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in the second group. A total of 13 matches will play in this. There will 6 Super 4 matches in the Asia Cup. After this, Men’s Under 19 Asia Cup will also organize in December.
