This Seattle-based company of America had prepare to fire about 10,000 workers in the month of November. This includes many employees of retail, HR department. Along with this, the company had also told that during the Corona epidemic, the company had hire many new people. In such a situation, after the lockdown opened in the countries, there was no need for these people. In such a situation, the company can now retrench these people on a large scale.

16 Lakh Employment Every Year

In the year 2022, according to the report publish in the New York Times in November, Amazon employs about 1.6 million people all over the world. If a total of 18,000 employees lose their jobs, then it will be 12 percent of the total company’s employees. The employees who will retrench will give 24 hours notice and severance pay.
