New year 2023, UIDAI has made a similar change in the rule of Aadhaar card update. You will able to update the address of your Aadhaar card with the consent of the head of your family. By updating the address in Aadhaar card through this process, you will not have to provide any other address proof of your own. UIDAI has implement this rule from today itself. Through which you will able to update the address from the UIDAI website sitting at home.

UIDAI has issue an official statement today, saying that for this. The name of both the applicant and the head of the family and the relationship between them will require. Which includes ration card, mark sheet, marriage certificate. Certificate, passport and other documents are include.

Address will Updated Through OTP

If you update the address through the document of the head of the family (HOD). So the address will update sitting at home through the OTP-base authentication process. In this, along with the applicant updating the address, OTP will also send to the mobile number register with the Aadhaar card of the HOD. However, through this process only a person of 18 years or above will able to update the address.

Aadhaar Card : Address Through Declaration Also

UIDAI has tell in its statement that if anyone does not have the document relate to the head of the family. Then he can easily update the address in the Aadhaar card. For this, he will have to give a declaration with the consent of the head of the family in the prescribe format give by UIDAI. How to Update Address Through HOD Document

  • To update the address online, one has to go to the ‘My Aadhaar‘ website. Which can also be accessed by searching UIDAI.
  • After this you have to enter the Aadhaar number of the HOF. (In keeping with the confidentiality of the base of the HOF, none of their information will show.)
  • After verification of the Aadhaar number of the HOF, you have to upload any document of the HOF, in which your name and relation is mention.
  • After this, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 for updating the address. After which you will give a request number (SRN).
  • Now the head of the family will have to accept the request by logging in to the ‘My Aadhaar’ website within 30 days of this process. After which the address will update in your Aadhaar card.
  • On the other hand, if the head of the family rejects your request, then the process of SRN will close and the address in Aadhaar card will not update.
