Bank Holiday 2023 : Only one days left for the year 2022 to end. The new year 2023 is about to begin and it is going to start with a holiday. In such a situation, if you have any important work related to the bank, then settle it immediately. Along with this, if you leave for the bank in January 2023, then do check the holiday list once, lest it happens that you reach the bank and find the lock hanging there. Bank Holiday 2023 List Release

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of banking holidays for the new year 2023. In the month of January, there will be a total holiday of 14 days including the weekly holiday of Bank Sunday and the holiday of second and fourth Saturday. However, these Bank Holidays will be according to the festivals and events held in different states. However, you can easily handle your work or transactions using internet banking during these bank holidays.

Here Is Bank Holiday 2023 List For January

Weekly holiday (Sunday) on 1st January all over the country. 2 January New Year Holiday Mizoram. 8 January Weekly holiday (Sunday), all over the country. 11 January Missionary Day, Mizoram. 12 January Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, West Bengal. January 14, Makar Sankranti / Magh Bihu, Gujarat, Karnataka, Assam Sikkim, Telangana. 15 January, Pongal/Sunday, nationwide. 22 January, weekly holiday (Sunday), all over the country. 23 January, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti, Assam. 25 January, Statehood Day, Himachal Pradesh. 26 January, Republic Day, a national holiday, across the country. 28 January, Second Saturday, nationwide. January 29, weekly holiday (Sunday), all over the country. January 31, Mee-dum-mee-fee, Assam.

Weekly Off on These Dates

The first holiday of the new year is falling on January 1, 2023 i.e. Sunday. Apart from this, 8 January, 15 January, 22 January and 29 January are also Sundays. Due to which all the banks of the country will remain close. On the other hand, the second Saturday is falling on January 14 and the fourth Saturday is on January 28. Along with this, banks will not open on many festivals including 26 January Republic Day.

Online Banking will Operate 24 Hours

Bank Holidays also depend on the festivals celebrate in different states or other events taking place in those states. That is, they differ in states and cities. However, despite the banks’ branch being close, you can do banking relate work online from the comfort of your home. This facility will always operational for 24 hours.
