Tata Punch : Tata Preparing For Cheapest Electric SUV Under 10 Lakh, It Will Launch in India Soon
Tata Punch : Tata Motors is preparing to introduce another new model in the electric vehicle segment. It is reported that the company is going to launch the new electric version of its famous micro SUV Tata Punch. Recently the company launched its new Tiago EV in the market. Tigor EV, Tiago EV, Nexon EV Prime and Nexon EV Max are already present in Tata Motors’ electric portfolio. Now this will be the fifth electric vehicle to be introduced by the company. Experts believe that after coming in the market, it can the cheap electric SUV in the country.

Tata Motors launch Tata Punch in the domestic market on 18 October 2021. This micro SUV has become very famous since coming in the market and customers are also buying it fast. The company had also rolled out its 1 lakhth unit in the last August. It has been the first SUV to reach this milestone in just 10 months.
What Will New Tata Punch EV Be Like
It is being tell that the new Tata Punch Electric will base on the company’s ALFA platform. On which the company’s premium hatchback car Ultrose has also built. It is expect that the company will use Ziptron technology on the lines of Tigor and Tiago in this SUV as well. It is also report that the company may offer it with two different battery pack options. One with a medium range and the other with a higher range battery pack.
As far as the design is concerned, it is possible that no major changes will be seen in it. Its exterior will be largely similar to the current ICE model, though as an electric car it will definitely see some cosmetic changes. It will position between the Nexon EV and the Tiago EV in the company’s electric vehicle (EV) portfolio, and may come with some additional features over the petrol model.

Car’s Battery Range
Although the company not yet share any information about the battery pack etc. of this electric car, but it is being tell in media reports that the company can provide a battery pack of 24kWh capacity in it. In this context, this car will give a driving range of around 250 to 300 kms. Along with this, the option of fast charging is also expect to be give.
Tata Punch Price
Tata Motors is trying its best to keep the price of its electric vehicles affordable as well. The starting price of the recently launched Tata Tiago Electric is Rs. 8.50 Lakh (Ex-showroom). In such a situation, it is expect that the new Punch Electric SUV can launch at a price of Rs 10 lakh.
