WhatsApp’s Brings Kept Message and Accidental Delete Feature, Know Use and How it Work

According to a report, WhatsApp is reportedly in the process of bringing the ‘Kept Messages’ feature on Android that will allow users to keep or undo messages. With the new feature, it will possible to keep a disappearing message to prevent its expiration, reports WABetaInfo. WhatsApp is working on bringing this feature for future updates of the application.

WhatsApp New Features : Use of Kept Message

In a conversation, users can keep a disappearing message or undo a place message by viewing the message option. However, the report states that if they undo the place message, that message will automatically delete for everyone and it will not possible to recover it.

Disappearing Message Shortcuts

Earlier this month the messaging platform start rolling out a new disappearing messages shortcut on Android beta. After downloading the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.25.11 update, some users were able to access the new feature. The new shortcut is place in the ‘Manage Storage’ section and is marked as a space saving tool.

WhatsApp New Features : Accidental Delete

Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp on Monday introduce a new layer of security call accidental delete feature. Everyone has face the situation when they sent a message to the wrong person or group. They Accidentally click Delete for Me instead of Delete for Everyone, the company said in a statement.

To solve this problem, the Accidental Delete feature will help users by providing a five-second window to reverse. An accidental message delete and click on Delete for Everyone.

This feature gives users a moment to undo a deleted message instantly. If they mistakenly select Delete for Me but it means Delete for Everyone. The Accidental Delete feature is available to all users on Android and iPhone devices.
