IPL New Rule : New Impact Player rule will apply in IPL 2023, BCCI announced
IPL New Rule : The Board of Control for Cricket in India is going to make a big change in the rules of IPL. These also include a unique rule, under which more than 11 players will be seen in a team. The name of this rule is Impact Player. Explain that this rule is currently applicable in sports like football, rugby, baseball and basketball. But was not implemented in cricket.

But, now for the first time it will be implemented in the next season of IPL. With the implementation of this rule, where the teams will get flexibility, it will also help in making strategy. The BCCI has already used this rule on a trial basis in a domestic tournament. If the results are good, now it will be used in IPL for the first time.
IPL New Rule : IPL Impact Player
As per the rules of the Impact Player, the captain of the team has to give the names of four other players apart from the playing 11 before the match. Out of which one player can be included in place of any player in the middle of the match. In fact, the BCCI used the Impact rule as a test in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament played in October. It was welcomed by all the state teams. It is being told that the IPL Steering Committee has discussed about this. Along with this, all the franchisees have already been informed about the impact player rule.
Discussion held in GC meeting
According to media reports, a source from the IPL franchise has told that the impact player rule has been discussed in the IPL GC meeting. It is being told that BCCI is going to share its details soon. Cricket fans are now waiting for the exact details related to this rule. It is believed that the playing rules implemented during the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament will be used in the IPL.

IPL New Rule : Changes before 14th over
Under the impact player rule, the captain of the team will have to name four more players apart from the playing XI. Any such substitute can be used before the 14th over of the innings. Under this rule, a player joining as an impact player can bowl his full quota or bat as a new batsman.
