Garud Commandos extremely dreaded

Why We Needed This Force

Garud Commando Training

Being a Garuda commando is not an easy task. All recruits have a basic training course of 52 weeks (the longest in the Indian Special Forces). The attrition rate is very high in the initial 3 months of probation period and during this time. The best jawans are weed out for the next round of training. Garud commandos prepare after a rigorous training of about two and a half years. In commando training, they have to pass through raging rivers and fire, climb mountains without support. Many kilometers run with heavy loads and have to spend the night in dense forests.

Three Weeks of Rigorous Training

Training of these commandos is also give with Special Frontier Force, Indian Army and National Security Guards. Those who are successful in this phase go to the next round of training. The soldiers who are successful in this very strict training send to the Parachute Training School in Agra. Where as like Marcos and Para Commandos, Garud Commandos also wear Para Badge on their chest. Garud commandos also train at the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School (CIJWS) in Mizoram.

Dangerous Weapons of Garud Commando

Garud Commandos are attach to actively deploy units of Para Commando of the Indian Army. During the final stages of their training first hand operational experience. Garud commandos are equipt with some of the most dangerous weapons in the world. In which there are Tavor TAR-21 assault rifles, Glock 17 and 19 pistols etc. as side arms. Apart from this, the Heckler & Koch MP5 sub-machine gun, AKM assault rifle, a variant of the AK-47 and the powerful Colt M-4 carbine are included for close quarter battle. Garuda commandos have killer drones made in Israel. Which can fire missiles at the target without any sound. Garud commandos less with modern weapons are train for air strike, enemy reconnaissance, special combat and rescue operations. Air Force commandos are also equipt with snipers. The one who deceives the enemy by changing his face and then kills him. The Garuda Special Force has 200 UAV drones as well as grenade launchers.

Garud Commando Salary

The salary of Garuda commandos is like that of Para commandos and Marcos commandos. If you are recruite on the post of Sub Lieutenant in Garuda Commando. Then your salary will range from Rs 72,100 to Rs 90,600. This salary varies according to your post. The highest salary in Garud commando can be up to Rs 2,50,000 equivalent to that of a cabinet secretary. Apart from this, they have many other facilities given by the Government of India, such as House Rent Allowance, Grade Pay and many other facilities for children and for the family.
